HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF           TRI-CITY CERT ASSOCIATION?

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP BY LAWS

ARTICLE 4 - MEMBERS

4.1. Eligibility

Membership in the Association shall be open to residents or volunteers in the cities of Gardena, Hawthorne and Lawndale, CA. who are at least 18 years of age and:


a) Complete either:

1.TRI-CITY CERT Training course or Another jurisdiction’s CERT Training course


b) Complete the TRI-CITY CERT membership profile (go to Documents tab and download application. Please send application along with scanned CERT training certificate to Cindy Matsuda at hopecindymatsuda@gmail.com)


c) Complete an initial six (6) month probationary period (Get to know you and Get to know us period)


d) Agree and abide by the Rules of Conduct

TRI-CITY CERT ASSOCIATION 

VOTING MEMBERSHIP BY LAWS

e) Voting members are annually required to:

Attend at least three (3) TRI-CITY CERT meetingsParticipate in at least two (2) community events per year as a TRI-CITY CERT member in the City of Gardena, Hawthorne or Lawndale, CA.

or

Complete sixteen (16) hours of related independent study with certificate subject to Board of Directors approval

General Membership Application (2014)

The purpose of the membership application is to provide the Board of Directors of TRI-CITY Community Emergency Response Team Association with the information necessary to determine if a potential member has met the minimum eligibility requirements.


We aim to ensure the future development of organized CERT teams that will assist local communities in the event of a significant emergency or activity. The membership application information will remain confidential.
